Cell Phone Policy

At Brooklyn School of Excellence (BSE), we are committed to providing a focused and respectful learning environment. To support this, we have implemented the following Cell Phone Policy: 

1. Cell phones must remain turned off and stored in the school cell phone lock box during the school day. 

Use of phones during class, hallways, or any unauthorized time is strictly prohibited. 

1. First Offense: 

The phone will be confiscated and held by the administration. It will only be returned to the parent or legal guardian no earlier than one (1) week after the day of confiscation. Parents will be notified via phone call or email regarding pick-up details. 

1. Repeated Offenses: 

Further violations may result in extended hold time, mandatory parent meetings, or additional disciplinary action. 

1. Emergency Contact: 

If a student needs to reach a parent or guardian during school hours, they may request to use the school office phone. Likewise, parents needing to reach their child should call the main office.
